Father Michael McGivney Our Founder
Michael Joseph McGivney was an Irish-American Catholic priest based in New Haven, Connecticut. He founded the Knights of Columbus at a local parish to serve as a mutual aid for immigrants and their families. In particular the wife's of knights who died as a result of the hazardous jobs that the husbands were performing.
Our Community
Although our name is North Hills Council, we support charitable organizations throughout the greater PIttsburgh area.
We welcome members from any location in the greater Pittsburgh area and Allegheny county.
